PLANETARIUM CUSCO

We are a young Cusqueñian couple with a deep love for our culture, who have begun an entrepreneurial project: A cultural interpretation center. The Andean Cosmovision is a new approach to better understanding of the universe, astronomy, and especially the Incan and the living culture of our people.

The project involves our family, with the direct participation of our uncle, Professor Erwin Salazar, an astronomer and investigator of Inca astronomy. Together we believe we can join our visions into one project. Cusco did not have a place to present information on the cosmovision, astronomy and living culture in one place. That is why we “Cielos del Sur,” started our first project, Planetarium Cusco.

It represents the cosmic llama, the eye is Alpha Centaurus. The southern Cross known by our inkas as Chakana, and the sacred River meeting the Hatun Mayo o great river (Milky way). .
